Skill Set (Fire) – PUAWER005B, PUAWER006B & PUAWER008B
Information about the course:
This course is a skills set made up of individual units. It covers the requirements of Warden, Chief Warden and Extinguisher and spills kit usage.
Learn about different types of emergencies including bomb threats, fires, chemical spills and other workplace responses. This course covers AS3745 the Australian Standard related to Workplace emergencies.
We use a very safe live fire prop for training in extinguisher and fire blanket use.
Individual Units:
PUAWER005B Operate as part of an emergency control organisation
PUAWER006B Lead an emergency control organisation
PUAWER008B Confine small workplace emergencies
Target audience:
Existing workers in any industry may benefit from this training as it is not industry specific.
Prerequisites:
There are no prerequisites for this unit.
Award issued:
Students who successfully complete this nationally recognised training will be awarded the statement of attainment for:
- PUAWER005B Operate as part of an emergency control organisation
- PUAWER006B Lead an emergency control organisation
- PUAWER008B Confine small workplace emergencies
Course duration:
- Full course: 7 hours face-to-face training

Locations
Regular public courses are held at our dedicated training facility at 2/27 Pascal Rd, Seaford, Vic, 3198. We also hold courses as required in Traralgon, Victoria.
Private courses can be held at client premises on negotiation.
